There was so much to see at Maison et Objet this year in Paris. We spend two days wandering around getting inspired by design and products from all over the world. One designer that I discovered for the first time was Céline Wright. I walked around the corner of one stand full of huge powerful furniture to be faced by the delicate, intricate and captivating lights of Céline Wright. Each light is created by hand and is individual. Some lights take as many as 1600 strips of paper carefully glued together and 7 hours of work to finish. –
Célines work is very beautiful and is all handmade in France. Have a look at her website, which is in both English and French to discover more of her work, where she will be exhibiting and much more – Céline Wright lights

I was looking at the Design Sponge blog today and was totally inspired by a handmade table they were featuring! This table was created by Kim Fisher from an old tree branch and a fantastic slab of slate. She has turned these bits of waste material into a truly beautiful and sculptural table. – It looks just great! and it has got me thinking. – I have some old wood in the garden that I could turn into an old fashioned coat rack!

Our friends at Marie Puce have created a lovely Autumn / Winter collection for babies, boys and girls. Sisters Anne and Camille started the French childrens brand, Marie Puce back in 2003 and most of their pieces are made in France.
